Environmentally conscious, each of our processes considers the possible impact on the ecosystem. In line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, we take a considered manufacturing approach:

  • Driven by experts, we endeavour to restore the balance of affected and endangered environments.
  • We are always looking to introduce sustainable practices wherever possible to revitalise the biosphere and those that depend on our business.
Recycling and rainwater harvesting

Together with extensive rainwater harvesting systems, our recycling efforts have reduced our water footprint by more than 25%.

Solar power

Generating upwards of 4.5 MW annually, we rely on solar panels – the power not utilised is supplied to the national grid.

Biomass energy

Using 100% sustainably farmed biomass to heat our premises; we have cut our fossil fuel use by 24 million litres per annum.

Conservation and replanting initiatives

Non-commercial land holdings are being replanted with endemic species of flora to conserve the native eco-system, adding 110,000 trees to the ecosystem annually.

Reduced carbon footprint

Through a combination of our plantations, tree replanting initiatives and land conservation efforts, we strive to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. As we audit and certify more of our initiatives, this number will continue to grow.

Waste recycling and upcycling

Organic waste from our latex centrifuging operations is being recycled and upcycled into shoe soles and floor mats.
Certifications: ISO 14001, CEA Environmental Protective License.
